No. Any WhatsApp number works, including the WhatsApp Business app if you already use it. There is nothing to install.
Before the first request, SAM sends a code to the WhatsApp number you register. Only someone holding that phone can confirm it.
SAM is in private beta, starting in the UAE. Businesses elsewhere can sign up now, and we’ll be in touch as SAM reaches their city.
